What is IV therapy and what we offer
The IV Lounge Dainfern offers vitamin-rich, medically-approved IV drips designed to boost and rejuvenate your body. From effective hangover recovery and weight loss solutions, to replacing the nutrients and hydration you need to tackle the strains of your hectic daily life. In order to administer our wide array of IV treatments. Not sure what IV therapy is? Here are key things that you need to know.
What is IV therapy?
IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins.
Is IV therapy safe?
IV vitamin therapy is super safe. At IV Lounge Dainfern we offer only medically approved vitamins that have been compounded in a sterile facility. Everyone can and should drip, well, except people with severe kidney dysfunction and pregnant ladies. Even though it’s safe, the dosage may be too much for an unborn fetus, so we prefer not to drip pregnant ladies.
What is the difference between oral vitamins and intravenous vitamins?
Oral vitamins travel through the digestive system which can result in negative side effects such as nausea and constipation, and only allows for 20-30% absorption. Vitamins and minerals administered intravenously guarantee 100% absorption into the bloodstream, and a much higher dose of vitamins can be tolerated. The results are therefore more effective and longer lasting.
Does IV therapy hurt?
One of the most hated things in life is the needle. So the big question is always about the pain involved. Our clients at the IV Lounge Dainfern usually experience a tiny little prick as the needle is inserted, then the needle is removed and a small plastic tube remains in the vein which is not sore at all. You won’t have any pain or discomfort once you are dripping. And the benefits far outweigh the 2 seconds of discomfort, we promise.
How many times can you get dripped?
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient by patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV drips per month.
What IV drips do you offer?
At the IV Lounge Dainfern we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of IV treatment. IV therapy and the intramuscular injection
The IV Lounge Dainfern offers vitamin-rich, medically-approved IV drips designed to boost and rejuvenate your body. From effective hangover recovery and weight loss solutions, to replacing the nutrients and hydration you need to tackle the strains of your hectic daily life. In order to administer our wide array of IV treatments, we make use of the common practice known as intramuscular injection. Here are key things that you need to know.
What is IV therapy?
IV therapy is a variety of nutritional, medicinal and cosmetic fluid treatments that are delivered into the human body by means of a drip. Scientists have found that this method is the optimal way in which to deliver and distribute hydration and micronutrients to your body. This means that what we put in, is 100% absorbed by your body to ensure that you get the best possible results out.
What is an intramuscular injection?
Sometimes it can be a bit confusing as to how our IV offerings can benefit you. Put in simple terms, an intramuscular injection, which is also known as an IM injection, gets medicine into the muscle that is found under a layer of fat that lies just beneath your skin. Intramuscular injections are a common practice in modern medicine. They’re used to deliver medication. In fact, several drugs and almost all injectable medicines are delivered this way.
Where are IM injections given?
An Intramuscular injection is usually given into muscles such as your thigh, bottom or upper arm. Some medicines need to be given in larger muscles such as your bottom, while others can be given in smaller muscles such as your arm.
How do I care for myself after the injection?
After most injections, it is recommended that you relax and limit your activity for the remainder of the day unless you have been told otherwise by our team at the IV Lounge Dainfern in Johannesburg. It is also recommended that you avoid soaking baths, hot tubs, whirlpools or swimming pools for a few days. You can exercise after having an IM injection, but it is a good idea to avoid strenuous exercise for several hours after the injection.

What is IV therapy?
IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins.
Is Collagen important?
Yes, it is indeed. Collagen is a key component of the basic structures of the human body and the connective tissue. It is an abundant protein of the body, accounting for about 30% of total body protein and 75% of the protein that makes up skin. As a result, collagen is the main constituent of our skin. Collagen plays a leading role in all body functions
Is collagen better than anti-wrinkle cream?
Yes, it is because Pro-Active Collagen stimulates the cells responsible for the body’s own natural production of collagen. It works in the deeper layer of the skin (dermis) and all over the body, whereas creams are more localized in one area on the outer layer of the skin (epidermis).
For how long do I need to take Pro-Active Collagen?
In order to obtain the full benefits, the product is best consumed consecutively for a period of at least one month or longer for greater benefits.
Is collagen good for my joints?
Pro-Active Collagen is an essential nutrient for the joints. Collagen is the main nutrient of the connective tissue and is essential for the maintenance of the joints, bones and muscles. It works as a constructive material, giving them shape, strength and flexibility. Contact us for more information or visit the IV Lounge in Dainfern for more.
