Meet The Team

Dr. Hannes Scheepers is the co-owner of The IV Lounge and a well-known name in Johannesburg’s aesthetic industry. While many recognize him as the lead dentist at Dainfern Dental Studio and Bedfordview Dental Studio, Dr. Scheepers has always believed that looking good on the outside starts with feeling good on the inside.

His Journey

Dr. Scheepers found his calling early. While still studying, he spent time assisting a Maxillo-Facial surgeon and was instantly hooked on the “art” side of medicine. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Pretoria. Over the years, he has mastered advanced clinical techniques, including Botox® and Fillers, to help people feel more confident in their own skin.

Why The IV Lounge?

Dr. Scheepers co-founded The IV Lounge to offer a more complete approach to health. He knows that modern life is demanding, and sometimes the body needs a direct boost of vitamins and hydration to perform at its best. By combining his medical background with a passion for wellness, he helps clients achieve a healthy glow and lasting energy.

Outside the Clinic

When he isn’t working with patients, Hannes is a huge fan of the outdoors. You’ll usually find him out in nature, on the golf course, or enjoying a great meal and a glass of wine. He’s a big believer in a balanced life—staying active, eating well, and taking time to recharge.

Dr G grew up in Kloof, a small town just outside Durban. He has always had a passion to help people from a young age and loved doing outreaches with his church group in his hometown. It was from this desire to help people that he discovered his calling to be a doctor. He excelled in high school and matriculated with full distinctions. Having earned a scholarship, he moved to Pretoria in 2006, where he studied medicine through the University of Pretoria.

After graduating, Dr G moved back to KZN, where he did his internship and community service training at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital, an extremely busy hospital where he gained vast experience in all fields of medicine. He spent rotations in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Primary Healthcare in rural clinics, as well as Anaesthetics as a community service officer, but particularly fell in love with the latter.

That’s when he moved to Pietermaritzburg complex, and attained a Diploma in Anaesthetics, through Edendale and Greys Hospital. He spent 2 years in PMB, before moving back to Gauteng at the end of 2018, and joining private practice.

Through hard work, passion and his caring nature, Dr G has built a successful and thriving practice in Johannesburg. He believes in a balanced, integrated and evidence-based approach to self care, where educating patients on physical health, mental health and spiritual health is key to living a full, happy and healthy life. He has developed a keen interest in IV Therapy medicine, and is currently furthering his studies with a Diploma in IV Therapy to make sure his patient’s get the very best and up to date vitamin therapies. He truly values his patients, and sets the highest standards, to ensure his patients get quality treatment and care. 

My name is Charissa Scheepers, and I am the owner of the IV Lounge Dainfern.

I have a passion for people, one which makes my job much easier as I get to help so many. It fills me with joy knowing that I have been a part of their journey to reach their full potential.

IV therapy has so many benefits for you but the one thing that really attracted me to this position is seeing how the treatment improves our customers’ lives, both physically and mentally, and knowing that this treatment is all natural is a bonus.
